Dr. Marianne Fracica

Dr. Marianne Fracica, owner of The Cocalico Cat and Gingham Dog Animal Hospital is a native New Yorker who transferred to Lancaster County in 1994 to practice small animal medicine and surgery.

Dr. Marianne knew at age five that she wanted to be a veterinarian and throughout her lifetime never had any doubt that this profession was her calling in life. She completed her undergraduate studies as a Biology major at CUNY-Brooklyn College. She attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1992 and graduated at the top of her class.

Dr. Fracica has twenty-two years of experience as a practicing clinician. She particularly enjoys working up both canine and feline challenging medical cases. In addition to her canine and feline patients, she enjoys working with rabbits and pocket pets. In addition, she is a USDA certified veterinarian. Marianne continues to enjoy her career and could not envision herself doing anything other than veterinary medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and The International Veterinary Medical Association. She resides on a farmette in West Cocalico Township with her Daughter Victoria and menagerie of farm animals including a pony, miniature donkeys, sheep, rabbits, chickens, cats, and dogs.


Cindy Savino

Cindy Savino is our Office Manager and wears many hats. She is the person responsible for the smooth running of our practice. Originally from New York, Cindy left behind a legal career and moved to the area in 1996. Motivated by her lifelong love of animals and the offer of a “part-time” job, she joined our staff in 2010 She currently resides in Reinholds with her husband Lou, daughter Annmarie, 2 dogs and 3 cats.


Colleen Worley

Colleen is our Head Veterinary Technician. She resides in West Cocalico Township with her husband Jamie and children Emma & Erin. Colleen received her degree in Ag Business from Harrisburg Area Community College. She has always had a desire to help animals. In Colleen’s free time, she enjoys being Chairman of the Ephrata Fair Poultry Show and Co-Chairman of the Rabbit and Cavy Show. She also enjoys spending time with her goats, dogs, guinea pigs, and bunnies.


Brooke Riehl

Brooke is a senior Veterinary Technician and has been with our hospital since April 2014. She graduated from Cocalico High School and received her veterinary training from Lancaster County Career & Technology Center and Penn Foster Veterinary Tech program. Brooke has always had a love for animals and wanting to help care for them. She currently resides in Ephrata with her husband Sheldon. When not working, you can find her spending time in the outdoors, motorcycle riding with her husband, and spending time with family.


Rhonda Swan

Rhonda (aka “Ray of Sunshine”) has been our morning Receptionist/Front Desk Coordinator since we opened in 2010. She obtained her Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2013. In her spare time, Rhonda enjoys relaxing at home with her family, spending time with friends, working on obedience training with her two beloved German Shepherds, and works part-time pet sitting as the Owner of Here Hannah In Home Personalized Pet Care which she established in 2020. Rhonda resides in Lebanon County with her husband Doug, one son, and their German Shepherds, CeCe & Cedric.


Victoria Fracica Long

Victoria is Dr. Marianne’s daughter who grew up in the animal hospital. She has worked in reception and social media engagement throughout her time in high school and college and continues to help us when needed. Victoria lives in Berks County with her husband Jake and daughter Bella. Victoria lives with a Doberman, Siggy, and a Samoyed pup, Mr. Floof, along with a plethora of felines. Victoria also has a cattery of Sphynx cats.


Tyra Worthington

Tyra was raised in Lancaster County. She is an Ephrata High School and Lancaster County CTC graduate who joined us in 2023. Tyra loves helping animals and the work that goes with it. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and cats.
